Get a blood test to check your thyroid. Hair loss is one of the symptoms of thyroid problems. if you would like to check the other symptoms use the link below. Their bulletin board is well monitored and you get straight answers.
First don't wear ponytails where your hair will be pulled and I'd try some of those new products by Rogain...heard they work!!
Try home remedies before trying any other medicines.

Is it socally acceptable for a woman to not shave her legs if the hair on her legs is very thin?

I am a college freshman and I have never shaved my legs, so the hair on my legs is quite thin. I am afraid that if I start to shave that the hair will get thick and stubbly and I don't want that. I am a brunette so the the hair is dark but only visible up close. Is this okay that I don't shave my legs? Guys, would you refuse to date someone just because she does not shave the thin hair on her legs?Is it socally acceptable for a woman to not shave her legs if the hair on her legs is very thin?
Is it socially acceptable? no. Does that mean you shouldn't do it? I don't know, I would strongly reccomend that you DO shave your legs, or at least nair them. Because even if you can't see the hair on your legs, a guy can still feel the diffrence. Is it socally acceptable for a woman to not shave her legs if the hair on her legs is very thin?
If you don't want stubbly hair, consider getting them waxed. I think you should do whatever you want though.
You can always bleach them. Its euro.
If your afraid to shave then try a wax job. I know certain European countries where the woman don't shave. You probably won't find many guys that are into hairy legs or arm pits......You do shave your pits, right? I hope so
shaving is not the only option

you can use a cream hair remover like Nair
yes men would date women who dont shaves her legs coz I guess its not that bed if u cnat even see it that well just like moisterise them so they are shiny im pretty sure u looks good
Do whatever you want to do - don't let society run your life. But, in my personal opinion, it's kind of gross not to shave.

Short of women's Rogain, is there anything I can do for my thinning hair?

There is a product out better than Rogain. It is called Nioxin. This has a lower PH balance than Rogain. I too have thining hair and I have used Nioxin for years. Ask your Stylist to get you some and suggest the right product for you. It has shampoo's, conditioners, styling agents. Good LuckShort of women's Rogain, is there anything I can do for my thinning hair?
I feel your frustration! The things that I have learned over the years is not to pull your hair back in a ponytail. and watch the shampoos and conditioners. and most importantly Go to the Doctor and have your thyroid checked. This was my issue. I will tell you that they will advise Rogaine or spirolactone. I would go to my gynecologist first Hormonal issues can also contribute. You can also go to a great website for women

www.heralopecia.com lots of good information on everything that has to do with women's hair loss issues. I have just recently started using a new shampoo and conditioner and Thermal Fusion for the scalp. I have to say that I notice a difference in the amount of hair that I am losing, But this is a skeptical issue I know I live with it too. But that is what I use. I have plenty of samples that I use for my business and I would be more than happy to send you a free no obligation sample. I would like for you to be able to try it if you want to, I know how it feels believe me. My website is www.thewayback.myarbonne.comShort of women's Rogain, is there anything I can do for my thinning hair?
    No.
Don't wash too often or use any product that could potentially make the thinning worse. Don't brush or style too vigorously and try to eat healthy foods.
I feel for you. I'm going through the same situation right now. I'm using Nioxin products, but they usually don't regrow hair, just help keep the hair you've got. Women's Rogaine does the same from what my Dr. said. I've done a lot of research on thinning hair. It's usually genetic. If your hair loss isn't terrible, maybe one of those would help stop you from loosing any more hair. The only thing you can do for seriously thinning hair is to wear a wig or hairpiece, or opt for hair restoration ( transplant).

Is rogran for woman good with thinning hair?

It can work for women. Sometimes you grow hair where you don't want to though. I believe they have a version specifically for women. Is rogran for woman good with thinning hair?
Well, I've used Rogaine for men and it does'nt work. I'm assuming it won't work well for women either.

Is it normal for women over 40 to start losing their hair (thinning)?

I used to have such thick hair and now I lose quite a lot in the morning when I get up in the morning! Also I haven't got so much hair to put up in my pony tail..Is it normal for women over 40 to start losing their hair (thinning)?
I noticed that my hair did not grow as fast as it use too. I could get a cut, and before I knew it, it was growing out of the cut.

I have not experienced any thinning though. There are things on the market you could check into for thinning. I know Rogaine is for thinning hair.

I would perhaps consult a physician. If you are into organic or health food supplements, you could go to a store like GNC and see what they have to offer for thinning hair.

Also, go to google and type in ';thinning hair in women'; and see what it brings up and take it from there. Hopefully, you will get more info before going to the doctor.

good luckIs it normal for women over 40 to start losing their hair (thinning)?
yes unfortuantley its all part of ageing,

If you are concerned see your doctor, he may have something available to help you out
    Take (b5) panothenic acid.
Not necessarily. You don't say what you've done to your hair. If you color/perm/process it, STOP, and get some good hair vitamins and eat healthy. Hope it would help you.

Can anyone tell me what is good for hair grow for the alfro-american woman who hair is so thin.?

I'd suggest that you try a natural style that won't put strain on your hair. Perming, and colouing, or constantly braidign your hair can wear your hair thin, strip it of all it's nutrients, cause breakage, and seriously wreck your hair line.

Weaves are a good chance to give your hair some rest (your hair is braided back and then a weave is attached in layers. It's a good, manageable way to add length and leave your hair alone fo a while.

Try washing your hair every 7-8 days, and investng in something that will specialize in hair growth.

I found my hair thinning out after constantly wearing it in a pontytail and there's nothing worse than long thin hair. I bought a product called Doo Gro, specifically for thinning hair. It was only 9$ and it really hasmade an improvement to my hair. Try treating your heair before you wash it this is an ancient treatment you can make at home.

a couple spoons of mayo, one egg, and a small spoon of vinegar and a spoon of olive oil. mix it up add it to your hair, sit under a heat fan, or just put a bag ove your hair for an 1/2 hour then rinse and shampoo as usual.

good luckCan anyone tell me what is good for hair grow for the alfro-american woman who hair is so thin.?
Colloidal minerals may assist your hair growth. Can anyone tell me what is good for hair grow for the alfro-american woman who hair is so thin.?
I don't mean any disrespect...the black woman is the one that made hair extentions and weaves popular, is that not an option for you? When it's all braided, you can't tell how thick or thin it is or why not try getting it cut. I think I'd have to see a pic to really give an educated opinion, sorry.
