Hairstyle for thin hair Woman in her late 40's?

My mother has had the same hair longer than i have been alive( I'm 19 soon to be 20). People who have not seen her in years almost decades can remember her because of her hair style





it been the long blond hair down to the middle of her back. the only time she cuts it is to get ride of split ends.





she had is permed and she had it like that on her wedding day ( wavy long blond hair) reminded me of hippie hair....this was in the early 80's





her hair is thin and she is tender headed ( braid her hair barley pull it and she screams)





I'm wanting to see her with a different hair style





all she would like is long enough so she can braid it up ( she is a cook and needs to put her hair up to cook your food)





and it fits her age 48 ( doesn't look her age more of late 30's to me)
